Conservation in the South-West uplands: challenges and solutions
The South-West uplands of Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are home to some of our rarest species and the focus of much conservation effort from a wide range of conservation organisations. They are also complex landscapes, where numerous different stakeholders interact, working together to achieve multiple aims. This conference has been organised by the All the Moor Butterflies project with the aim of exploring some of the challenges facing conservation in the uplands and how we might begin to solve them together. The conference will examine a diverse range of themes, such as: farming, land use, soils, species conservation, partnerships, livestock and habitat restoration.
